YE through a lens

The project gathered 37 youngsters and group leaders from Slovakia, Lithuania, Italy and Greece to reflect on different social issues through the creative approaches of photography and videography. The main objectives were promoted photography and videography as a tool to raise awareness on social issues and a way to acquire knowledge and skills useful for one's personal and professional development; developing young people's motivation and sense of responsibility towards fostering mutual understanding against discrimination and social exclusion in a global way; stimulating young people's spirit of initiative using methods of creative photography and videography; social media campaign against discrimination, social exclusion, xenophobia, homophobia and racism.

Also, the participants had the opportunity to expand their English skills, gain experience in public speaking, time management, problem solving, acquire and expand digital competences in relation to photo and video making and editing, learn to cooperate in a multicultural environment, their enriched knowledge about traditions, customs and other cultures and, finally, be encouraged to meet the fullest by using creative methods for self expression.
